The city of Chicago has installed an extra panel at the bottom of some STOP signs that reads ALL WAY, to indicate four-way intersections.
So with a little time spent with a graphics program (to design a custom font to the right size), some trial and error color matching, a printer (Epson DuraBrite waterproof ink would be good), some white adhesive paper, and a razor blade, it would be possible to create a document like this and change all the stop signs in your neighborhood to a political comment on pacifism.
